On September 27, 2024, the Center for Research and Analysis (CRA) participated in a 4 hour-long event (2 pm – 6 pm) entitled Young Ambassadors of Science in the Mall of Sofia presenting our new project Chips of Europe. The event was part of a series of science communication events, organized throughout the city of Sofía and the country by Foundation Beautiful Science on occasion of the Researchers Night.

At the CRA stand our young science ambassadors, Zlatan Dimitrov and Deyan Yalamov provided opportunities to visitors (over 200, boys, girls, parents) to get CHIPS of Europe’s leaflets, view the project presentation. Moreover, visitors of all ages were able to physically touch the board, play games, to experience the Micro:Bit devices, pre-loaded with two games, Tetris and Smiley Face.

Highlights of the narrative used by the ambassadors included the interdependence of chips (CPU and GPU) development and demands for computer power by new games, as well as simulation software for chip design.
