On September 27, 2024, the Center for Research and Analysis (CRA) presented our exciting new project, Chips of Europe, at the Young Ambassadors of Science event held in the Mall of Sofia. This four-hour event (2 pm – 6 pm) was part of a series of science communication activities organized throughout Sofia and across the country by Foundation Beautiful Science to celebrate Researchers Night.
At the CRA stand, our enthusiastic young science ambassadors, Zlatan Dimitrov and Deyan Yalamov, welcomed over 200 visitors of all ages, including boys, girls, and their parents. They handed out Chips of Europeleaflets and presented the project with great enthusiasm. Visitors were also given the unique opportunity to physically interact with the board, play games, and experience Micro:Bit devices pre-loaded with two engaging games: Tetris and Smiley Face.
The ambassadors highlighted the intricate connection between the development of chips (CPU and GPU) and the increasing demand for computer power driven by new games and chip design simulation software. More detailed information on the event and about Zlatan and Deyan can be found here.
Whether you're a boy, girl, student, teacher, parent, or simply someone curious about the opportunities that new technologies offer, Chips of Europe is designed for you! This was just the first of many events. Follow us here and on Facebook to stay updated!
