SPARKS
SPARKS is an international project funded under the Horizon 2020 programme (2015–2018), aimed at promoting scientific research and innovation in healthcare and medicine. The project organized a large-scale European campaign featuring interactive exhibitions, events, and discussions designed to connect science and society. Its primary goal was to actively engage citizens in conversations on scientific topics and technological advancements, fostering critical thinking and dialogue between researchers, innovators, policymakers, and the wider public. Through the Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) approach, SPARKS highlighted the importance of ensuring that scientific achievements address real societal needs and values, laying the foundation for a more open and democratic future for science.
