On April 25th 56 Secondary school in Sofia hosted the demonstration lesson with 10 grade students. The students and the teachers Diana Ilieva and Nadejda Stojkova practical work on Combining the Goals in History and Civil Society Education by Teaching History. Guesting at the event were the teachers Valentina Stefanova and Nikolaj Grigorov of 8th Secondary school in Blagoevgrad and Neli Ivanova and Nurdjihan Sali of the Secobdary school in Isperih, the Norwegian partners Merethe Skaras and Kristin Skinstad van der Kooij and the CRA team. Mrs. Daniela Tsoneva represented the Government Administration.
A discussion followed where the teachers Valentina Stefanova and Nikolaj Grigorov presented Innovative Model of History Teaching in Multicultural Society – Representatives of the Bulgarian and Roma Communities; the teachers Neli Ivanova and Nurdjihan Sali discussed on Lesson in a Temple – Christianity and Islam, Traditional Religions on Bulgaria. Merethe Skaras and Kristin Skinstad van der Kooij talk about the Challenges and Opportunities of Teaching about Democracy through the Contrasting Case of Nazi Occupied Norway 1940-1945.
